The galleries’ mission statement is to advance the arts, heritage and culture sector through the exhibition of photographic works as a means of artistic, community and personal expression, by offering workshops and activities affordable and relevant rooted in the teaching and exhibition of photography.
Promoting equality and diversity by providing facilities and services with the aim of benefiting the diversity of our returning and intended participants, and offering agency to underrepresented groups.
To advance citizenship and community development by promoting the production and appreciation of photography to the communities of Glasgow and wider Scotland, as well as to international participants and by donating to the Glasgow Photography Gallery a space that will provide community resources and educational event programs, including our annual year-end exhibit.

You don’t need to be a professional photographer to participate. Photography is for everyone.

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography holds month-long exhibitions in October

The title of this exhibition is Street Photography, We are looking for images around the theme Street Photography of people and places and candid moments captured by you.
The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is a new non-profit gallery space in Glasgow, Scotland.

Street Photography is an open call for photographers to submit up to 10 images of all street photography for this photography exhibition at this new public gallery.
Photographers will be selected for the month-long exhibition.
The works will appear online in our online gallery and we are currently creating a virtual tour.
You can send your best images. We want the work of established and emerging photographers.
This is a unique opportunity to showcase your work to an audience of artists, photographers and creatives as well as the general public, both Scottish and international photographers are welcome.

How to participate :

Registration for this exhibition is FREE. If your work is selected there is a participation fee of £48.00
It covers the cost of everything.
We will print, install and uninstall the artwork in space.
Local photographers are free to collect their work afterwards we will keep it for 1 month.
