Photography and art exhibition launched on International Tourism Day

No less than 322 photographs and around 100 paintings were submitted by established and amateur photographers and painters from across the country in the photography and painting competition which was presented to the Pakistan National Arts Council (PNCA) here Monday.

The competition was organized by Pakistan Tourism Development mCorporation to celebrate the International Tourism Day 2022. The themes of the competitions included the tourist attractions of

Pakistan, Landscapes, Culture and life, Adventure sports and Flora and fauna. While the painting competition was in two age categories, including competitions for young people and children. The final paintings and photographs were displayed to encourage the talent of the participants while the Prime Minister’s adviser, Awn Chaudry, opened the show and called the works a great effort by the young and aspiring artists to raise awareness among the general public. the importance of tourism, environmental issues and the promotion of sustainable and responsible tourism.

PTDC Managing Director Aftab ur Rehman Rana said on the occasion that the aim of the competition is to engage young people in healthy side-by-side activities, educate them on tourism-related activities and celebrate the World Tourism Day.
