A photography exhibition highlights key moments in football

The ’90 Minutes’ photo exhibition featuring as many memorable photos by Qatari sports photographer Jassim Ahmed al-Buainain of football matches in the country from 2010 to 2022, will run until September 30 at Building 18 of the Katara Cultural Village . Organized by the Qatar Photography Center at the Ministry of Culture, the exhibition was opened by HE Culture Minister Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Thani on Wednesday evening.
Al-Buainain describes himself as an enthusiastic and devoted fan of football as well as photography. He pursued his passion for capturing key moments during matches played in the country, for various tournaments and occasions, and tried to document with his camera the beauty of the game and the moments when players and fans express their sincere feelings and their enthusiasm.

He said that while the techniques of photography have developed considerably over the past few years, he has also embraced new perspectives and gained more skills and experience in the field, which has led him to seek more innovations and creativity to explore his art during the FIFA World Cup. Qatar 2022.
Abdulla al-Muslih, chairman of the Qatar Photography Center, said the exhibition was part of the plan to hold sports exhibitions ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He explained that the layout of the exhibition space is unique because it is designed like a football pitch. Furthermore, he pointed out that the Qatar Photography Center is keen to support talented young Qataris, and especially photographers. He said the exhibition is expected to feature an Argentinian international sports photographer, who will give a talk and workshop today (Friday) on the arts and techniques involved.
